Dr Susan Gardner
Dr Sue Gardner qualified MBBCh in 1985 from the University of the Witwatersrand. She worked in Internal Medicine until 1990 and started specialising in Anaesthetics at Groote Schuur Hospital / University of Cape Town in 1990. After obtaining her Fellowship of the College of Anaesthesiologists of South Africa in 1995, she worked for 6 years at Groote Schuur Hospital as a consultant specialist anaesthesiologist, including 3 years as a consultant in Respiratory Intensive Care.
Dr Gardner then started private practise in 2002, initially with Southern Anaesthetic Associates and more recently joining Cape Anaesthetics Inc. Her special interests include anesthesia for vascular surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, orthopaedic spine surgery as well as colorectal, obstetrics and gynecology and plastic and reconstructive surgery, and including conscious sedation. Sue has two grown up sons and enjoys running and reading in her spare time .
