Dr Rudhir Jaga

Rudhir Jaga is originally from Port Elizabeth where he matriculated in 2005 from Theodor Herzl Private with distinction. He completed his medical Internship at Victoria Hospital Wynberg, Cape Town in 2012.

Rudhir Jaga assumed a Registrar position at UCT, Department of Anaesthesiology and Peri-Operative Medicine in 2018. During his residency at Groote Schuur Hospital, he was awarded the UCT ICU medal in 2018 and was further nominated in his final year of training for the cardiothoracic medal and consultant’s registrar of the year by his peers.

He qualified as a specialist anaesthesiologist in 2021 and received a distinction from UCT for his MMed (Anaes) which was accepted for international publication. After his specialist training he was appointed as the Acting Head of Department at Victoria Hospital, Cape Town. In 2022, he joined Cape Anaesthetics as a full-time partner.
