Dr Marlize Du Preez
Dr. Marlize du Preez qualified as a doctor in 1999 at the University of Stellenbosch. After completing her Diploma in Anaesthesiology, she became a partner at Parow Medicross, where she worked for six years as a general practitioner and GP anaesthetist.
In 2008, Dr. du Preez relocated to the UK, where she focused on procedural sedations for dentistry and oral surgery. Following her return to South Africa, she pursued her long-standing passion to specialize in Anaesthesia, completing her advanced studies at UCT/Groote Schuur in 2016. She joined Cape Anaesthetics in 2017 and has since focused her professional interests on procedural sedation, general, vascular and breast surgery.
Outside of her medical career, Dr. du Preez enjoys diving and ceramics, finding both relaxation and inspiration in these activities.
