Dr Kerry Timmerman

Dr Kerry Timmerman obtained her medical degree from the University of Cape Town (UCT) in 2002. She then obtained her Diploma in Anaesthesia (DA) in 2005, and completed her postgraduate specialist training in Cape Town at UCT, graduating in 2011.

Kerry spent the next 10 years in Public Service as a consultant specialist anaesthetist, working at Groote Schuur and Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospitals where she developed a broad clinical skill base in both paediatric and adult sedation and anaesthesia.

Kerry had been doing limited private practice over many years with Wells, Gordon and Associates, but made the move to full time private practice in 2021 and joined Cape Anaesthetics in 2022.
