Dr Kathleen Delport

Kathleen joined Cape Anaesthetics as a full-time associate in 2020.

After completing her undergraduate training, Kathleen gained valuable experience working as a medical officer at the Red Cross Children’s hospital, and in the trauma unit at GF Jooste in Manenberg, for a few years before starting her anaesthetic journey at New Somerset Hospital in 2013. She completed the four years of specialist training at Groote Schuur Hospital in 2019, before joining the private sector. She still does sessions in theatre at the Red Cross Children’s Hospital.

Outside of work, she loves trail running, and generally being outdoors in nature, preferably with her young family.
