Dr Colin McClarty

Dr Colin McClarty studied medicine at Stellenbosch University before completing his military service in 1983 and 1984. He then worked as a Senior House Officer at the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital and Groote Schuur Hospital, before joining the Department of Anaesthesia as a registrar in 1986. He qualified as a specialist anaesthesiologist in April 1991. From 1991 to 1994, he lived and worked in the United Kingdom and Saudi Arabia, gaining valuable international experience. Upon returning to Cape Town in 1994, he joined Cape Anaesthetics, where he has remained in practice to the present day.
