About Cape Anaesthetics
Cape Anaesthetics Pty Ltd is an association of specialist anaesthesiologists who pride themselves on delivering a superior standard of perioperative patient care. With a history dating back to the 1960s, we are one of the original anaesthetic practices in South Africa and have built a reputation for excellence and professionalism.
Our team has a strong sense of family, fostered by decades of collaboration and support within the practice. We work closely with our surgeons and operate at several hospitals in and around the Cape Peninsula. This ensures seamless and personalised care for every patient, from consultation through to recovery.

With over 20 years of experience in the practice, Sharon is the friendly voice and welcoming smile of Cape Anaesthetics. As our receptionist, she is the first point of contact for patients and always ready to assist with general enquiries. Sharon also manages the diaries of our practice associates, coordinating schedules to keep everything running like clockwork. Whether you’re seeking information or need a helping hand, Sharon is here to support you with care and professionalism.

Practice Manager
Ruwayda has been a vital part of Cape Anaesthetics for 30 years, working tirelessly behind the scenes as the backbone of the practice. As our Practice Manager, she ensures the smooth operation of the practice, handling administrative tasks, organisational planning, and everything in between. Her decades of dedication and expertise make it possible for the team to deliver seamless service to our patients.
